Process: In this project I created the outline for my final portfolio. In the final portfolio I have to give presentation in from of my class. this presentation will walk through all the project that I did in my entire course. below is the outline how my presentation will look like

Critique: when I was done with my outline my brother suggested me to do all the projects you did for Rogers first than start the projects for fido and than Chart.

Overview:

For this project I created a home page for Rogers. The main purpose of creating home page is to provide maximum information about the company. Home page clearly defines the purpose of the company to connect people and it the online services are friendly and easy to use.

Process:

I started my project with sketching the layout. While sketching, I kept in mind that the homepage should be easy to use and attract more consumers. While making the sketch I gathered the little information about the company and how to connect with the consumers. I tried to keep my homepage as simple as I can. the color scheme I chose is monochromatic color scheme and used blue color and the font group I used is Times New Romans and Calibri. The rough sketch of my homepage is below:

Critique:

after making the sketch I send my rough idea in the wats app group to get feedback. My group members suggested me to move the things and make the font bigger.

Overview:

Companies use videos on social media to promote their company and product. This week I worked on creating the 90 minutes video clip for my Rogers. I made the video with combining video footage, photos, music, and some text. I did a promotional video of Rogers to encourage people stay connected and share their happiness with their loved once.

Process:

I first brainstormed the ideas of making the video for the company. I watched few videos to take the ideas and created my own video plan by knowing the target market and what message I am going to tell the audience. I decide on Rogers because I had some ideas of how can I create a video for this company.

Then I came up with a video plan and brainstormed the ideas to make a sketch of what is going to be in the video. Watched some promotional videos on Youtube helped in creating my video in a better way. Once I had the idea, I sketched what will be in my video.

After the sketch I started looking for the pictures, short clips and some information about the Rogers company for making the actual video on iMovie. I added a background music to give video a happy feeling.

Critique:

after making my video I send it to my group members on wats app to get feedback. Mikal suggested me to change the font and also suggested me to give some descriptive information about the company. And Manisha suggested me to add more text in the video.

Overview:

For this project I need to create a product label for the Chatr Mobile. I decided to make the gift voucher for Chatr Mobile as a product label. I decided to design the gift voucher for the consumers that refer the brand to their friends. The final design of my voucher are:

Process:

I brainstorm the ideas for making the gift voucher and than made some sketches to make sure that all the elements like company name, colors, fonts, voucher conditions, barcode, and company logo are available. Moreover, in my sketch I tried to make the new logo for the company using its initials. I decided big split complimentary color scheme for voucher. I used blue, gold, red in my voucher but didn’t get the element to use the brick color and no other color scheme was fitting for my voucher design. The sketch and layout for my product is below:

After all the brainstorming I used Microsoft PowerPoint to make my final design. And make some adjustments in my sketch so, that everything looks better.

Critique:

I send my final design of the voucher to my classmates on wats app to get some feedback. I used black color in the voucher as Manisha, Mikal and Riad suggested me to change the color. They also suggested to put the expiry date on the front of the gift voucher. In addition, my mom also gave me the suggestion to make a logo in some shape. So, I used circle to represent the logo of the company. I felt like suggestions were great and I improved my voucher to get to the final design.

Overview:

For this project I needed to make a style guide for Fido Solutions Inc. which is a subsidiary company of Rogers. The main purpose of this project was to create a well-designed, style guide with a new designed logo, new color scheme, and typography that I used as a guidelines for future design of the company.

Process:

I started my project with brainstorming the ideas for making the new logo for Fido Solutions Inc. The current logo of Fido:

I created my final design of the logo in the adobe illustrator. According to the logo I created the style guide. My final look of the logo is below.

Critique:

I created my rough sketch in the lecture and met with my classmates, Mikal and Genty. They suggested me to change the alignment for my style guide. I changed a lot while making my final style guide. Moreover, I wats app my final project to get the feedback. They liked my final project and suggested me to align the company name again because it was going out of page.

Overview:

In this project I need to design the flag for Rogers. The flag represents the company and it is simple.

Process:

Before sketching, I brainstorm the ideas about what company represents while providing services. I used is split complementary color scheme in which I used three shades which are blue, black and red. Red color represents the company. Moreover, I want the company flag to convey the message to the audience. I slightly left aligned the flag icons to make it look different. I also tried to show the connectivity in my flag design. After having some ideas about the flag design, I started sketching my ideas. Below are my rough sketches of the flag.

On the final flag design, the blue circle represents the loyalty and trust of the products and services that are provided by the Rogers. Three man shape in the middle of the flag represents the connectivity of people around the word.

Critique:

I did this project in the class and met my group members to show my design for the critique. Genty and Mikal like my flag design. They suggested me to add gradient in the colors that I used in the flag.

Overview:

For this project, I needed to create a plan for all of the projects that I will be designing. I chose Rogers as parent company, with Fido and Chatr Mobile as the subsidiary companies. My company plan project explains what I want to accomplish with these projects.

Process:

I started my project by researching about the companies that I decided to focus on. I looked on the companies vision and mission statement which helped me to determine the message and audience. I also looked at their existing design style to gain inspiration and make changes. I sketched the rough layout for my company plan and narrow down my ideas to get an effective layout. Here are my sketches.

I used Microsoft word to create my Company Plan. I started my company plan by inserting text boxes according to my rough layout. and than I typed my companies information in the text boxes that I inserted. I also searched for the company logos to insert in my company plan. Moreover, I used the colors to make my company plan. After I was done with the project I made some changes in the final presentation of the project.

Critique Process:

I was introduced with my group members in last class Genty and Mikal. We made whats app group to discuss about the company plan. I send my final presentation of the company plan before submitting my project. gents suggested me to add more white space and add transparent logos of the company. I was happy with the suggestions they gave me to make changes in my project.

Introduction: For this project I captured 3 images of People, Places and Things.  These images have limited editing because I want show my editing skills over the photography skills. I took these images from my memories, clicked few while I was exploring around and some of them in my room. I used my basic skills to clic the pictures and tried to edit them perfectly.

Process: I used my phone to click these images during the different time of the days. for editing the pictures I used Lightroom to do the editing of the images. I tried to make the images look natural by using minimum editing. I also used the room light to click some pictures so that they look good with less editing. I used the depth of the field in some of my pictures.

Critique: This was an individual assignment. It was fun doing this assignment. as I am not that good in clicking the pictures and editing them, but I tried really hard to get the result what I did. I also learned a lot of things while editing the pictures. It took me good 45 minutes to make this assignment.

I’m currently enrolled at Langara College in Vancouver pursuing my education in Business Management. I have a strong communication and computer skills which includes knowledge in Word, Excel and Access. I am well organized and highly motivated individual who enjoys challenges in a work environment. The purpose of making this blog is to show my design work for Media Visual Marketing.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with friends and enjoying playing games like volley ball and football. I also enjoy doing physical activities which help me keep fit. Moreover, I also enjoy drawing which helps me in being more creative.
